Here, we go boldly & gently.
When I published the first edition of The Self Adventure Guide in 2022 I wrote this dedication in the opening pages, it said:
You are home here.
For curious, open-hearted humans who want to live courageously and creatively.
For the folks who want to know themselves deeply and do their own thing boldly.
For the souls who want to burn shit down one day and go gently the next.
Those words struck a chord with my community and since then I’ve been signing off essays with this line:
Here, we go boldly and gently, together.
Because I believe both things can be true.
And so this audio newsletter, Boldly & Gently, came to be.
It is my rebellion, my revolution, my call to action and my love letter to you. I am so glad you’re here.
It is a bloody honour to officially introduce you to:
Boldly & Gently, a choose your own adventure guide for playing in the messy middle.
With creative small businesses and full lives, this is for the courageous, ambitious and thoughtful ones who want to create meaningful work, take care of themselves and their people.
Here we question everything, build big visions and still make time for naps and trips to the park.
And who am I? I’m Sarah Harney, an entrepreneur, creative business consultant and audio producer.
I offer coaching, consulting and publishing services that support small business owners, like you, to create and build with curiosity, courage and self-kindness.
I am your creative director, your action partner and your biggest cheerleader.
I offer radical permission to do things your way. I’m your self-adventure guide, for when you want someone to hold your hand (and heart) and re-ignite your spark.
I am also a toddler mum, writer, maker and proud ADHD-er, living on the beautiful Kaurna Country, which is in the land known as South Australia (Australia).
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the Kaurna People as the Traditional Custodians of this land that I am so privileged to live, create and play on. This land was never ceded and always and always will be Aboriginal Land.
I honour First Nations peoples as the original storytellers and acknowledge any First Nations people that may be reading this or listening to my work.
Thank you for supporting my creations, I am so honoured you’re here.
Remember, you are the adventure.
Sending you so much love, grace and courage.
